Little Bears – Two Year Olds

About our class

In the Little Bears’ classroom, two-year-olds learn through play and exploration, developing key skills in a fun and engaging environment.

• Play-Based Learning: Exploration and pretend play help children use their imagination, practice language, and learn social skills.
• Motor Skills: Gross motor activities like running and climbing, and fine motor activities like puzzles and playdough, build coordination and dexterity.
• Cognitive Development: Problem solving, memory, and understanding concepts like size, quantity, and patterns are encouraged through hands-on activities.
• Language & Communication: Reading, singing, and conversation support vocabulary growth and help children express themselves.
• Social & Emotional Skills: Sharing, taking turns, and identifying emotions are practiced with guidance from teachers.
• Routine & Structure: Predictable schedules and smooth transitions help children feel secure.
• Self-Help Skills: Children practice feeding, dressing, cleaning up, and potty training with support from teachers and parents.
• Creativity & Exploration: Art, music, and hands-on experiences encourage curiosity and self-expression.
• Social Norms: Teachers guide children in understanding rules, respecting others, and cooperating in the classroom.

Classroom goals

Our goal in the Little Bears classroom is to help children grow into kind, confident two-year-olds. We teach important skills they will build on as they grow, including healthy toileting habits and taking responsibility for tasks like cleaning up after themselves.
